Why this site exists
SketchUp download searches are crowded with outdated version pages, repacked installers, misleading free claims and plugin bundles that do not identify their publisher. SketchUp Download Wiki exists to make the legitimate path easier to understand. We separate current desktop downloads, supported older versions, free browser access, Pro trials, discontinued releases, plugins and 3D Warehouse resources into focused pages.
The site is written for designers, students, hobbyists, architects, educators and IT administrators who want a direct answer before installing software. We prioritize the current version, platform, support status, original source and licensing context near the top of each page.
How we verify download information
For version and installer claims, we check first-party SketchUp Help pages, release notes, account guidance and download.sketchup.com links. We record the date of the check and avoid inventing file sizes, scan results, package names or release dates that the source does not provide. When SketchUp says a product is no longer distributed, as with SketchUp Make 2017, we do not replace the missing official link with a mirror.
Direct download and external-source buttons use a 15-second confirmation screen. The delay gives visitors time to see that they are leaving this independent site for an official or original publisher. A non-JavaScript browser can still follow the underlying verified link.
Plugins and 3D models
We do not host paid extensions, cracked plugins or third-party model files. Plugin guidance points users toward Extension Warehouse, original developers and established distribution communities. Visitors should confirm SketchUp compatibility, required libraries and license terms before installing any RBZ package.
3D Warehouse guidance explains how to evaluate creators, model versions, geometry, textures, scale and usage rights. A free download button does not automatically grant ownership or unrestricted resale rights.
Independence and trademarks
SketchUp Download Wiki is an independent informational website. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Trimble Inc. SketchUp, Trimble and related product names and marks belong to their respective owners. Product names are used only to identify the software, official sources and compatibility topics discussed on the site.
Our logo is an original download-and-3D-block symbol and does not reproduce the official SketchUp or Trimble logo. Official product screenshots used for editorial explanation are identified and linked back to first-party release information.
